Welcome to the inaugural edition of the India Way Magazine!
What began as a simple idea at the Indian Foreign Policy Project — that perspectives from the young minds of India deserve a space where they can be explored in all their depth — has now grown into this journal. Over the past year, we have nurtured such voices through our website, newsletter, and speaker series. This (short) magazine marks an important step forward: a curated showcase of the best of youth scholarship on South Asia.
This issue brings together essays that transcend boundaries, both intellectual and geographic. Contributors explore pressing matters, from strategic readings of the India-Pakistan conflict to close examinations of cross-border marriages and Gen Z political activism; their pieces span from intimate reflections to critical policy analyses.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the contributors who made this issue possible with their cooperation, unwavering support, and sincere enthusiasm. A special thanks to Abhinav, Kiran, and Ajitesh whose tireless commitment through late-night meetings and countless revisions has culminated in a polished first edition.
To our readers: we invite you to reflect, engage, and join us in shaping an inclusive discourse on India and our (unquiet) neighbourhood.
With pride,
Manini Agarwal and Muskaan Mir
